Humanities Kaleidoscope Amy Larner Giroux
Like the feathers of this parrot, the lens through which we view the world is both fragmented and colored. Our experiences and ideologies are the filters through which we see the world.

A kaleidoscope embodies this concept as patterns form by light filtering through fragments of colored glass. As humanists we need to be aware that we are all seeing through kaleidoscope-colored glasses as our experiences are filtered through many ideologies—ours and others.
